Annemie Decostere

Prof. Annemie Decostere works on different aspects of aquatic veterinary science of marine and fresh water finfish. Her scientific interest and expertise are situated within the veterinary aspects of a sustainable fishery and aquaculture. More specifically, the research lines of her research group comprise the following fields:

• The study of the impact of electric fishing on marine organisms
• The application of probiotics as a means for a sustainable larviculture
• The early interaction of bacterial pathogens with their host with a focus on the gill and gut tissue.
