Maintenance of fish in controlled environments

Description

Access to sixteen fully separate 100l tanks each supplied with a cooling/heating device, aeration, mechanical and biological filter, allow to administer substances and/or pathogenic bacterial agents to the marine organisms housed in these tanks via the food or immersion and study their impact.

Researches that may benefit from these facilities include the identification of new compounds engendered by the marine environment that could remediate diseases in an aquaculture setting, the assessment of the impact of electric fishing on (non)target organisms, the elucidation of the cause of disease in wild marine fish …
