The Marinetraining team are pleased to announce the launch of their renewed MarineTraining.eu website! After many months of hard work and dedication from the Marine Training team at Ghent University, the updated website can now be accessed via www.marinetraining.eu or www.marinetraining.org.

The Marine Training platform, developed in 2013, is an EMBRC-ERIC service platform dedicated to marine and maritime education and training. MarineTraining 2.0 will inform users on upcoming and trending programs and courses. Training the next generation as well as retraining the current generation of blue employees and experts is one of the key goals of EMBRC-ERIC. The Marine Training platform hopes to give an answer to trainees in search of a training and trainers looking for support.

The primary goal of the redesign process was the implementation of a new responsive design thereby extending the data coverage and strongly increasing the usability through multi-lingual interfaces. The first version of the portal was mainly oriented to European educational programs. Thanks to a dedicated action from EMBRC-ERIC in the past months a major effort for retrieving and entering more global data was done. The new launched website contains programs and courses from all over the world encompassing more than 2305 programs, 65 short courses and 637 organizing institutes from 55 countries.

Keep an eye out because the next few months prove to make this platform even more interesting through the addition of training resources and online learning tools!
